Seequent’s team of Civil and Environmental Customer Solution Specialists is expanding to better support our customers across the globe.

We know how important it is for our Civil Engineering and Environmental customers to receive local and timely technical support, which is why our team of Customer Solution Specialists (CSS) is growing. We now have four members in our CSS team situated around the globe in UK-Europe, Asia-Pacific and we’ve opened a brand new office in Denver to support the Americas.

The team is composed of geologists and geotechnical engineers to help you build better geological 3D models, save time and make more informed decisions.

Michaela Crum, Customer Solutions Manager – Civil and Environmental | Denver, Colorado

About me: I began my career in the mining industry and worked for Cliffs Natural Resources for 5 years logging drill core, updating geologic models, performing grade estimation, reconciliation and reporting for iron ore and underground coal operations in North America.

After Cliffs, I moved to a software services role for 4 years – training consulting, supporting, and testing geologic modelling solutions. I transitioned to a leadership position as Technical Services Manager, which eventually led me to my current role with Seequent in the new Denver office.

I’m excited to now be a part of Seequent’s Civil and Environmental team!

Favourite Tool/Feature in Leapfrog Works: Split Scenes – a new tool in Works 2.2 that allows you to have multiple scene windows open at once. It’s really helpful!

Gary Johnson, Customer Solution Specialist – Civil and Environmental | Denver, Colorado

About me: I recently graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a degree in Geology. My last 2 years at Uni I worked as a teaching assistant for several geology classes including: Intro to Geology, Geology of Colorado, & Oceanography. I enjoy sharing my passion for the Earth with others and answering questions to better other individuals understanding of geology.

After graduation I spent time as a Geotechnical Engineer working on infrastructure projects such as high-rise apartments and bridges to smaller residential developments and everything in between.

Favourite Tool/Feature in Leapfrog Works: Combine Models in the project tree because it enables you to bring your plans to life within a geologic model.

Aaron Hollingsworth, Customer Solution Specialist – Civil and Environmental | Perth, Australia

About me: I studied Exploration Geophysics at University and then moved over to the UK where I worked as an Environmental/Geotechnical Consultant. I worked through most of England, doing Environmental and Geotechnical Investigations for a range of projects and project sizes, from apartment complexes, solar farms, warehouses, housing developments.

My role at Seequent brought be back to Perth and I love to meet with our customers across Asia-Pacific.

Favourite Tool/Feature in Leapfrog Works: Simply I really like the 3D visualization, whether it be just the source/site data or geological models. The ease, smoothness and presentation of the data in 3D.

Being able to pull in designs is great as well. It makes sense to view the building or infrastructure design in conjunction with the subsurface.

Ruby Forrester, Customer Solution Specialist – Civil and Environmental | London, United Kingdom

About me: I am a Kiwi currently living in London. I have a background in Geotechnical Engineering and worked as an engineer for 4 years before starting with Seequent. Back in New Zealand I worked on a large highway project in Wellington and the Christchurch rebuild post-earthquake. I have also spent time in Sydney, Australia, where I worked on the M4 widening (another highway project).

Favourite Tool/Feature in Leapfrog Works: My favourite feature in Leapfrog Works are the cross sections and how they dynamically update. It’s so fast and saves the customer so much time when they don’t have to manually re-draw each time new data becomes available!
